A Cozy Day in Chizu with a Cute Couple

Hello! I’m Natsuki, a Tomodachi Guide in the San’in area!
“Tomodachi” means “friend”.
I love to show people from other countries around the area where I live and that I love, and design their trip by connecting them to local residents.
Today, I’d like to share with you an experience I had guiding a Korean & Japanese couple in the Yazu District. They will soon move to the east side of Japan, so it was the last trip to San’in for them.

In this tour, we stopped for lunch at a restaurant run for over 50 years, Mitaki-en. There, they serve meals made from organic mountain vegetables grown in the owner’s field. It is in the forest, so you can enjoy fresh air and beautiful natural surroundings!

All dishes are handmade, and the staff spends time and effort on making them from the early morning.
Look at her cute face! She almost seems to be melting with happiness!
All the delicious dishes make the most of the original taste of local ingredients, so it really satisfied them!

After we had lunch, we chatted while sitting around a fire.
Also, the staff served us tea and Kinako-mochi as a snack.
Not only the dishes but also the atmosphere here made us feel very relaxed.
