Showa Era Design Wooden Architecture: Wakasa Station
Wakasa is one of the stations along the Wakasa Railway Line, located in Wakasa Town, Tottori Prefecture. This train line was completed in 1930 (5th Year of the Showa Era) and is still in service today, but it has faced some hard times including the threatened closure of the line.
This town proudly boasting a number of important 1930-style buildings along the line including the station building, attracting many history and train enthusiasts every year.
